Puppy Potty Training Got You
at Your Wits’ End? Dog Potty
Training an Exercise in Futility?
No doubt, puppy potty training
is one of the first issues you must
deal with when you bring your new friend home. The
nature of the beast demands a quick resolution to the
problem but no matter what you try, you and your pooch are
definitely on different wavelengths, and the situation is
quickly deteriorating.
That innocent-looking ball of fluff you picked up at the
pound just a few days ago is responsible for your home turning
into a disaster zone at hurricane speed. You might be able
to live with white stuff oozing out of the sofa cushions and
the tooth marks on the chair legs. But some telltale signs
of a canine presence you simply can’t ignore any
longer. Like the brown spots on the carpet and the ‘water
marks’ on the rugs and, oh my, even on the furniture!
Why, was it yesterday that you were surveying the scene
while grabbing a rare cup of tea, and dog potty training
suddenly made it to the top of your 'To Do'
list. There was no way you could possibly have anyone
over. The place was a downright pigsty ... and it's even
worse today!!!
Why Is Puppy House Training So
Daunting?
I was a puppy myself not so long ago, and
so I remember the trials and tribulations of going through
puppy house training. There's one thing that
seems to elude just about everyone dealing with a
pup: their bladders are tiny, and therefore they
can’t hold it very long at all! Sounds obvious,
doesn’t it? But chances are somebody’s nose got
rubbed in it, and it probably wasn’t yours.
Which takes us to another aspect of housebreaking
a puppy. Just when you get started toilet training
and how you go about it is just as important for your pup
as it is for your baby. Starting too early will only
lead to frustration for both of you. Another important
thing to remember is that your puppy’s bladder muscles are very
weak, so I’m afraid that puddles will be a fact of life for a
little while.
Because of small bladders and weak muscle control, it is
important to adhere to a strict schedule when house training
puppies. Whether you choose the direct training method
(taking your puppy outdoors to do its business) or paper
training (if you don’t have a yard or it's just too cold), you
must do it frequently, and time it according to the pup’s
eating and sleeping schedule.
It this sounds complicated, don’t worry. My team of
experts has even established a puppy potty training plan that’s
really easy to follow. You’ll have little Lulu trained in
no time, and you’ll soon be able to invite company over again
without the fear of embarrassment.
Dog Potty Training: Teaching an Old
Dog New Tricks
When people adopt an older dog, they often assume that
dog potty training just isn't an
issue. Of course, my dog is fully trained - well, isn't
it? I hate to break it to you, but just like a new car
doesn’t come fully loaded, neither does a dog.
First, it is quite possible that, just like me, your new
friend was never trained in the first place, or not trained
properly, so you can expect him to be confused at
first. Or he may just have been neglected for so long that
he simply has forgotten his manners altogether.
Either way, with proper guidance, Rufus will get on the
right track again. As his behavior improves, you’ll see
him gain confidence and pride in himself. And you will be
proud to show him off to your friends and neighbors.
Whether you’re faced with the challenge of housebreaking a
puppy or an adult dog, my dog training course will show you the
pros and cons of different methods, but more importantly,
they’ll uncover for you all the tricks you can use to make it
quick and easy.
Stick with our puppy house training schedule, and
you’ll have the job done in no time!
